Karen Darke 1st ever tour 2009

A keen runner and mountaineer before becoming paralysed in a rock-climbing accident in 1993, Karen Darke is a truly remarkable woman, having achieved a series of challenges that most of us would never even attempt.
Karen’s traumatic fall from a Scottish sea cliff at the age of 21 changed the course of her life forever. Although she had said only the night before that she would rather die than be paralysed, Karen chose to fight preconceived ideas of just what was possible for someone who could feel nothing below their chest.
Just four years after her accident, Karen crossed the Tien Shan and Karakoram mountains of Central Asia on a hand bike. This was to be the first of many adventures which would see Karen hand cycle the length of the Japanese archipelago, sea kayak a 1200 mile length of the Canada – Alaska coastline, cross the Indian Himalaya by hand cycle and make a record-breaking 600 kilometre crossing of the Greenland ice cap.
Karen’s captivating story begins with her accident and tracks her journey of recovery and acceptance through to her evermore daring series of adventures – finally leading her back to the rockface where she faces her fear head on and climbs to the summit of El Capitan in Yosemite after over 4000 pull ups.
“What is life if it isn’t an adventure? Disabled is a state of mind not a state of body, and I’m constantly amazed by what can be achieved if we set our heart and mind to it. It’s all about finding belief, confidence, motivation and commitment. And of course, friends. Then there are no limits.”
Karen is an extraordinary human being, and a woman who has touched the lives of many through her spirit for adventure. ‘If you fall’ is her story.
- Ends -

‘Karen's captivating story shines a bright light on the meaning of challenge, and on the limitless capabilities of the human spirit.’
Sir Ranulph Fiennes, polar explorer
‘Karen Darke's story is about the indomitability of spirit. She has overcome the limitations of paralysis and discovered a life of challenge and adventure that many of us only dream about’
Joe Simpson, mountaineer and author of ‘Touching the Void’

The Billy Fury Story 50th Anniversary Tour 2009

In 1983, Britain lost one of its most treasured, iconic, rock and roll stars, while his band lost their valued friend and lead singer to a long-term heart problem. After mourning their loss, the band began to dream of carrying on the legend, recapturing the memories of yesteryear and providing fans with a nostalgic taste of their lost idol.

It was not until 1996 that a young man, bearing a spine-tingling familiarity, appeared on television screens across the country and announced, “Tonight Matthew, I’m going to be Billy Fury”. Colin Gold went on to stun Fury’s Tornados with a performance that perfectly recreated the sound and sight of the original rocker. From that moment on, the band’s dream suddenly had a chance of being fulfilled and soon afterwards, The Billy Fury Story was born.

Having celebrated their 10th anniversary together last year, Colin and the original band continue to tour, performing the greatest Fury hits of the 60s and 70s, delighting audiences at many of the UK’s largest venues and concert halls and will be heading to the [INSERT VENUE NAME], [INSERT CITY NAME] on [INSERT DATE].

At the height of Billy’s fame in the 60s, only The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Cliff Richard secured more records in the UK Top 20. Timeless hits such as I Will, Jealousy, It’s Only Make Believe and, of course, Halfway to Paradise will be performed on stage in a two-hour spectacular show that includes a narration of Billy’s life, from his humble beginnings working the River Mersey tug-boats through to his music success, and exclusive screen footage of the man himself in action with Fury’s Tornados.

Lead guitarist, and unofficial organiser of the band, Chris Raynor comments, “It’s been 25 years since we lost Billy and while he will never be replaced in our hearts and minds we do hope to offer the fans, new and old alike, a show to remember him by.”

The band have also thrown their support behind lead singer Colin following his debut solo single, Holding On, all proceeds of which are being donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer since its release on October 26. The band will be raising money for heart charities throughout 2008 in memory of Billy.

Menopause The Musical

Since 2001, nearly 9 million fans have seen Menopause The Musical in more than 100 US cities, as well as internationally in 10 countries including Australia, Canada, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, United Kingdom, South Afrcia and South Korea. Each week nearly 35,000 women of all ages and stages find their spirits lifted by the show’s light-hearted look at menopause.

Armed with a cast of hormonal women, one-liners about memory loss and incontinence, and innuendo – laden versions of pop classics, Menopause The Musical is heading for the UK stage.
Billed as ‘a hilarious celebration of woman and ‘The Change’, the all singing, all dancing comedy brings together four women at a department store lingerie sale, who have nothing in common but a black lace bra and hot flushes, night sweats, memory loss, chocolate binges, not enough sex, too much sex, plastic surgery and more!

Menopause The Musical joyfully and hilariously parodies 25 of the top ‘baby boomer’ songs of the 60s and 70s, including such chart-toppers as ‘I Heard It Thru the Grapevine’ (‘You No Longer See 39’) and the disco favourite ‘Stayin Alive’(Staying Awake! Stayin Awake!), to name but a few.

The Big Ballet 2010

You will be surprised! The dancers proudly present their voluptuous bodies that are surprisingly sinuous, flexible and graceful despite their ampleness. The ladies enchant their audiences with different classical and modern ballet pieces in a hilarious comedy show full of fun and astonishing choreography, proving that you shouldn’t take life, or yourself, too seriously.

They encourage us to accept ourselves just as we are and not to strive for unattainable ideals of beauty, but to enjoy life and simply to have fun. This amusing performance exudes a fascinating authenticity and optimism and is full of vibrant colours. It shows that each moment is unique.

The wonderful music complements the magic of the dancers perfectly. Although they are far removed from the cliché of classic ballet they still know how to send a audience into raptures. The comedy and appeal of the sweet life are shown passionately in a dream of turquoise and raspberry red against the background of conflicts. We can promise that you will experience more than your imagination allows!

The ‘Big Ballet’ trains in classical ballet classes and puts a lot of sweat, heart and fun into their admirable performances. They display an almost professional perfection, charming elegance and an unbridled zest for life above and beyond all standards.

Let yourself be enchanted by a show full of humour, gorgeous costumes and the contagious high spirits of the dancers.

Enjoy the show! It will both surprise and thrill you.

Get Naked - The Boys That Dare To Bare !

First and foremost, “Get Naked" shouldn't be written off as a raunchy cabaret show that guarantees viewers more than a glimpse of the male member. Of course the eight men who parade across the stage spend the majority of time in character…but out of costume. Still, there's more to the show than an all-out flesh fest. The production offers a buffet of quirky humor, engaging choreography and, of course, singing. Even with clothes on, these men would be a chorus to be reckoned with.
The jokes don't just lie in the lack of undies.

The production could be considered the male version of "The Vagina Monologues.
